An Emerson, NJ native, Rocco enters his first season as Edgewood Golf Course Superintendent in 2023. With nearly a decade of experience in grounds & turf maintenance at some of the top courses in the Metropolitan area, Rocco prepares to carry on the legacy of Edgewood as a premiere Club, not only in Bergen County, but all of New Jersey.

Rocco earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management at the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, before enrolling to obtain his Turfgrass Management Certification from Rutgers University. He served an internship at Liberty National Golf Club, which led to an Assistant Superintendent role at the Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor, New York. His most recent tenure was with The Ridgewood Country Club for the last seven years, where he served as the Senior Assistant Superintendent since 2020. Throughout his time at Ridgewood, he helped host one PGA tournament and two USGA championships, with the most recent being the 2022 U.S. Amateur Championship.

"I have a very strong work ethic and take a great deal of pride in golf course maintenance. Edgewood is a remarkable property, and I am excited to continue the progress that has been made thus far. With that being said, I truly look forward to the days ahead here at Edgewood Country Club and getting to know everyone personally." - Rocco Weir
